Holla! I am back again!

Whoaaa..!! it has been ages and ages I did not upload any photo! OMG! I This photo was taken a month ago (oh please, A MONTH AGO!) just before leaving my hometown, Rote. I kinda lost my magic ideas due to the long absence. D’oh!

I have been a bit too busy since my coming back to Jogjakarta. I needed to take care of some important stuffs, obviously more important than uploading photos to Flickr. I missed Flickr real bad though :(
It feels like I have been pulled away from the world I had always loved! I am way too behind with my 365 and some weekly themes in groups which I have to stop. Too bad :(
I think I will reconsider doing this. Well, I promise I will upload more often, but I can’t promise to upload every day.

And yeah, a week ago my dad called me telling me that I lost one of my puppies to an accident. He was hit by a motorbike. And it broke my heart so much. Now I only have two puppies plus their mother. Arrghh..!! Feels like I wanna go home sooner! I miss my babbies :(

Blah! This is supposed to be upload on 23rd of April, while it is now 30 minutes in the 24th!

So..apparently, this photo is inspired by this. —> Another genius lady in the Flickr universe.
I planned a slight different idea, but the editing turned it into this. Don’t blame me! :p

By the way, this is my contribution to the Earth Day. Yea, kinda late, but what can I do? :p
It is clear that what I wanna say here is let’s reduce the use of electricity (and maybe use lanterns sometimes. It’s kinda cute, the romantic feeling of dimmed lights and stuff, you know. haha..)

When I was still a little girl, there were oftentimes blackout in my hometown. Me and my cousins would ran out side the house and watch the fireflies flying here and there. There used to be lots of them! How lovely! It is rather hard to find them nowadays. How sad :(

As for me myself, I like to go to thrifty market to buy secondhand clothes! Most of the time I luckily found clothes that are still in a very good condition. I got some friends who also like to do the same thing. It’s cheap, awesome, and the most important thing, ladies, I can still SHOP! Isn’t that fun? ;)

Today, April 21st we Indonesians are celebrating the revelation of women movement or what we usually call the Women Emancipation Day.

Long time ago, unlike men, women were limited. They lived by the socially constructed gender issues; and it was first R. A. Kartini, a heroine of gender in Indonesia who started to against it. She refused to be entrapped by the inequality of men and women.
By the end of 19th century, when she failed to take a scholarship to continue her education in The Netherlands due to her arranged marriage, she opened the first school for women which then expanded to several cities in the country.
She aspired to educate women to get the same rights with men (she died young, she was only 25!)
And so, every year of her birthday, we celebrate this as the women revelation day.

Aaaand..back to my photo, there I was tied! (real one, uh!) And some butterflies are coming to release me (kinda silly :p). I chose butterflies because for me they symbolize transformation. Here I interpret the need of women to transform themselves to find their slot in the society, and not to think that they are the second sex.

So..I dedicate this to all the women out there who have, are, and going to defend their rights. Let us be smart, independent, and brave y’all! I also dedicate this to all the men who respect women as an equal partner :)

It might be a cliche excuse but it was the rain! again! Meh! And this yeah, again, represents me well. I need to make believe that there was sunshine that I shall be smiling, and that I need to put a fake smiling sun before my very unsmiling face! LOL.

So this was taken in the same day with this. And actually, this was the original idea of that day’s shoot, but it turned out worse than the other shot, so I decided to upload this latter. Hehe..

And yeah, in the very next week I’ll be leaving my hometown. Guess I’m gonna miss many outdoor shoots! Hoo.. :(
